Beersheva and the surrounding area has a large population of stray dogs and puppies. 

The mission of the Beersheva rescue group is to care and help dogs who have no owners. Catching and rescuing injured dogs. Sterilization and recovery of mothers in order to reduce the dogs population. Feeding stray dogs. Placing dogs in temporary homes, until they get adopted.

 

Often the foster homes cannot afford to buy dog food and we provide them with food. Our goal is to find a permanent home for all the dogs but its not easy because the number of dogs is huge and unfortunately not too many Israelis are eager to adopt, sometimes its because they cannot afford caring for a pet.

The manager of this organization is Efreim Israel, he posts on his Facebook page updates about rescued dogs and cats. Efreim Israel, the volunteers and the foster familys in this region do an incredible job; they rescue hundreds of dogs and cats every year, with little or no financial support. You can help by making a donation to this rescue organization or buying dog and cat food. You can contact a local pet store in Beersheva and order a large amout of dog food. This would be a great help, since they are always running out of food and the stray dogs go to sleep hungry.
